Sigrid Raabe released her first EP and we have our first listen ratings

From a small town in Norway, Sigrid is bursting on the scene and is now featured as the ‘up next’ artist on Apple Music. Take a look at how we rank her first EP.

Don’t Kill My Vibe: A

You get behind the beat early. Great message behind the lyrics and we can understand her and relate to the story. She is so poppy that you feel like you cannot turn the song off even if you tried. Now I see why this was THE hit to start of her first EP.

Plot Twist: B+

Here we go, the second track has an easy-listening pop feel. Can’t tell who she reminds me of, but I cannot put my finger on it. Sigrid is hitting the right vibes at the moment. Guess what, she wanted you, you didn’t wanted her, and now you want her…what a crazy plot twist.

Fake Friends: B+

The beat/hook is very similar to Plot Twist even though it is simpler. Message is simple and clear — “it’s better to walk away than to run with fake friends.” Any song that can get ghosting someone in it is pretty baller — felt ridiculous as I typed it but I can’t get rid of it.

Dynamite (Acoustic): A-

Strip down the music and get the dynamic voice behind this upcoming sensation.

Overall Grade: A-

Sigrid made one heck of an EP. Definitely looking forward to full albums and more of her covers. No wonder she is the ‘next up’ artist.
